Lucille Ball filed for divorce from Desi Arnaz. Clark Gable died. Harper Lee published To Kill A Mockingbird Johnny Horton (Battle of New Orleans, North to Alaska) died in a car accident, leaving his wife, Billie Jean, (formerly the 2nd Mrs. Hank Williams) again widowed by a country singer.  Chubby Checker starts the Twist craze Brian Hyland has a big hit with that Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini

Our Lady of Grace in Morristown, NJ was a school run by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd at 226 Sussex Ave., Morristown, NJ.  It is now the Rabbinical College of America.
